The tasks that these servers accomplish are file transfer, data backup when needed, data storage, and file sharing within a network. With all these tasks being completed this server makes out for a super employee that does fast work. The other tasks that it accomplishes are that it serves as a solution when the database crashes or the computer crashes also file sharing helps to serve a s a server in a business based setting. This allows electronic transfer to be made without the administrator's presence. The more it handles the more can be done. This serve makes out for a real turn key business solution. In my house I will be using a Home Based Server. This server will serve as a storage unit, a web server, file transfer and file sharing server. The uses are home based and need not to be networked with any companies just family and friends. So using a Home Based Server would be a good option for me at home. I do not associate with other businesses with my files, and neither do I allow 3rd party interactions with my database. This can cause hacking and intrusion of important and secret files. For these reasons I would use a home server.
