The reason why we need variables is because they are good for programs that need multiple tasks and help a program to do more than one thing when requested. Without having a variable programs will do the same thing every single time they are used, like using a shoot the ball program, no matter what without a variable and variable declaration the program will do the same thing every time it is used. The designer would have to edit the program with variables to alter the programs functionality and the way it operates. Without variable you can have a program that gives the sum of one problem, with a variable you can give a sum for any problem. Variables are important and need to be used if you want a program to do m more than one thing.
