I have had a really bad experience with computers on my old job T Fal. There was a computer setup rigged to keep all the RF hand guns running with the PC's in the office and on the floor. We really needed to have them rigged this way and had to reset the system due to someone going to one of the PC's without permission and touching something and messing up the server configurations for the computers and the RF's That were set up through a directory, and also they all had permissions and different levels of authorization. We first had to rest all the hand guns for our department which was Rowenta and Krups. This job took a while but we had complications erasing the authorized personell, because they weren't working or we couldn't get in touch with them. This is what made the job so hard for us to complete but we did. We finally got all the guns erased and set up a new directory for the new users and the previous users along with the new order references that were needed for Walmart. The whole system was screwed, the logs were off set and we couldn't print any orders, so we were 5 to 6 weeks backed up, because of this and had to hold all orders and start new orders that weren't even confirmed yet, just to stay in work. This was a disaster, but we did it and learned not to leave screens open for logging in, this can be dangerous in a warehouse and cause lots of money. Finally, we set the server back up and we were up and running in no time.
I were to fix the situation I would have just rest the server and the guns that were available, took the names of the users who were not present for later use, and reauthorize all the administrators to the servers account. This would have saved a lot of time for us and we would have got the orders done. For the erasing of the computers, I would have set the system to reset all the workstations to the first day we used it, this would have fixed the printers that were set to print by permissions to be reset in seconds by the administrator of each section of the warehouse. If I had of done this we would have got those orders done, but with the busy work environment, we had to do what was best and that's restart from scratch and make sure that all users were contacted, because some users are administrators and have to be present and logged in for some orders to be sent through the main office for shipping. That's why it's better to be safe then sorry, when you loggi's are not present at there stations, and there screens are open, anything can happen and they system can be destroyed.
The Pros and Cons of using a computer in T-Fal
PROS
You can use them for quarries and to find items that you cannot locate and for reprint labels and for other work related reasons.
There are no logs for regular workers that do not use an RF.
You do not need to ask permission to use them.
They are easy to use and only have one screen to operate and that's for orders only, printing, reprinting, and quarrying.
Each computer is used for every section and can locate any item in the building.
CONS
You are not allowed to browse the internet, if you are caught you will be fired they do not like viruses on their PC's.
You cannot use them for anything other than work related.
You have to have permission top access the PC's internal areas.
If you do not know how to log in the com , it will be hard to get information.
All information and printing, is saved for future reference, so no horse play.
Without a temporary log, using the computer is useless without this.
