Week 1 -Friday Discussion Post Professor Alaxander Ernyey

The discussions that resonated to me the most were the discussions that were based on how Linux is used widely as operating systems and how Linux features different from other operating systems. Compared to this week’s discussion, I had an experience with open of my PC’s where it needed a new Intel Processor and it wouldn’t take updated windows on Linux. The reason why I used Linux was because Linux doesn’t need and unallocated space it automatically connects to the hard drive and doesn’t take of much space, the new Linux only uses 6 GB of space. Now when it comes to window you need at least 2 GB of data and a hard drive that will install Windows on it, if not the hard drive will remain blank. Linux has great performance, and has lots of security making this operating system; platform a must for my business. I also use Windows Server 2008, this s a good server for my business and it allows me to authenticate all my connections within my domain and choose how I let those who operate with me use my domain. Linux is free Open Source Software and windows costs money to have. This makes Linux an all-around threat to Windows Operating Systems, and the new operating system for the future, they plan to use Linux more in the near future to decrease the attacks of viruses and security breaches associated with Windows Operating Systems.
