Automatic Monitoring protects valuable hardware and software because it automatically monitors the computers network for components that are slow, and also failing components that can damage the system if they aren't fixed. This type of monitoring also automatically sends an email, or message to the administrator, and uses SMS alarms which will alert them of a problems. This monitoring, also notifies them of an outage that happens within the network, so that they can target the problem and tackle it immediately. If the software has a problem, the system administrator will be alerted soon as it is detected to have them fix the issue, or notify the IT department of the issue. If the hardware fails, the system will alert the administrator of the issue, and have it fixed. By using an Automatic Monitoring System, the administrator will always know what is wrong, and be able to fix it ahead of time before a disaster happens. Test messages are sent for HTTP to grab pages and check them on the server; email servers will send a message to be check via SMTP also.
The areas that are covered are the response time, uptime, and the availability, and in the question it was stated if a software was to become unavailable, the system would alert the administrator, so that all the users in the system would be able to use the software if the system is down, the next time it comes up by fixing the issue. By using a Manual Monitoring System, the administrator would not be able to detect all these areas of interests and have to find the issues manually by checking each area. Now in this case, they would have to do extra work when the system is up and down, and this would cause multiple problems and destruction, because I monitor my system manually, and when I find something and check it, it usually has been there a while, like my Apple application wouldn't load to Windows 8.1, and when I took out a malware issue that was several weeks old, the application loaded correctly. When status failures occur the system will also alert the administrator via SMS, or email. This is why automatic monitoring would be the best solution for the network. This is why automatic monitoring would protect Anderson and Sons system, and keep their network healthy and sound.
Auxiliary Control Systems are important to a network because this is the most critical component of protection for the system, and controls the power system. When a failure happens, this will make fault detection devices unable to process what is happening, the system will not detect breakers that detect trip faults, and when the Administrator or IT need to access the remote features they too will also become in-operatable. This faults the monitoring equipment and will not alert the system to over powering, or fire hazards from batteries and other power devices. This also, is an important area of the system that will need an automatic detection analyzing it 24 hrs. a day, in order to keep Anderson and Sons' business well in operation.
