I think as an influence from other worlds, and to have a relationship with the other worlds that was direct and controlled by those who worshiped the art with them. They could have made this art to worship the animals that they hunted, or to help them with catching them. I feel that they used this art as a way to express themselves, to make carvings of women to suggest human fertility, to cure the sick with spells and rituals, to have a relationship with powers from the other world they worshiped, to predict the future, and to call upon lost souls from the other worlds.
