When it comes to art an agreement is made. When a crowd or a person makes an interpretation of that material, this is what makes it an art. Basically, the important part is how the material is made, and the spectators interpretation, this is what makes it a work of art and not just a doodle or drawing with no meaning. It doesn’t have to always be a pleasing piece, or beautiful piece; it just needs to be interpreted as a work of art by the spectators, and the crowd that views it. When it comes to art, art can be displayed anywhere and when it comes to a museum, it is considered a work of art to the fullest. Art needs a name in order to be understood on who, what, where, and why the art was made or represents. A work of art can be a pretty picture, or it can be realistic. Art is universal, and comes in many different forms.

Yes, I feel that the Bicycle Wheel is a work of art because; there were spectators that identified this as a work of art. The wheel is a readymade object, and is different from its normal form and meaning, this is what made it a work of art. In my view, the style of the wheel being a part of a stool and placed on top of the seat is very different, and can only have one meaning, that it is a work of art. The Bicycle Wheel is unique and new to me, also it looks as if the statement that is made, is made to represent the created work as a work of art. To me it looks like a work of art because, you cannot use it to ride or for a machine, so it represents itself 50% of the way here. The Bicycle Wheel fits the criteria I made in my discussion, because it needs to be evaluated and interpreted by an audience. I feel this is a work of art because, it is a part of a bike that is used for riding places and is inserted into a stool, without the tire and doesn’t move at all. This is a colossal of parts, and a stool to make a work of art. It’s different, unique, new, and draws a large crowd that will be enthralled by the statement made and the overall reflection of the work being interpreted as a work of art.
