A situation in my career when I should have implemented Frame Relay is when I built my business Sharpe’s Tech Express. I would always go on craigslist to do data transfers to a person’s desktop to a DVD, and then burn the DVD, so that they could have their computer cleaned from viruses in their computer.

The job would always take me up to 4 hours to transfer the information through Team Viewer from their desktop to my desktop, and then be burned to a disk. If I would have used frame Relay this would have been a faster process and a shorter waiting time for my clients on the internet that I dealt with remotely.

This would have given my data transmission a lot faster processing for my business and also saved time when the computer dropped the files and folders that I was transferring from my clients due to a large load capacity. When this happened more time was needed, and also I had to break the information down to smaller sizes and use my email protocol also. So if I had of used Frame Relay, this business would have had a faster process of transferring information. In the future I plan to implement an advanced method of Frame relay, which would be using the Cloud Server, such as my cloud, this will give me more data transfer speed, and my clients can access their information on the web via cloud devices, and also use their phones to access. All I have to do is give permission authenticated by password and email, and the password I provide to them will be switched weekly, to stop any hackers who steal information when it is being transferred.

The benefits of Frame relay would be as follows:

One of the benefits of Frame Relay would be that it is independent when it comes to using protocols. Also, the way that it handles traffic, is not the same as with handling traffic with SNA, IPX, or IP.

The second benefit of using Frame Relay is it is great for connections when you need to make Wide Area Network Connections that have heavy loads, and very heavy traffic. This application can handle data transfers from applications on client severs, and CAM/CAD.

The advantages of Frame Relay would be as follows:

One advantage is that leased lines have to use Frame Relay to do data transmissions, so without it would not be able to do data transmissions. Another thing is that Frame Relay is used to send data through leased lines. This handles putting the data into packets and also gathers the data through a leased line.

Another advantage would be that Frame Relay has more functions to provide than a leased line such as: The networking interface has a transit delay that is very low. The length in variable for the packet switching has a very high speed, and it cancels all the long waiting periods associated with packet switching, and is known to be used with a mesh network design and very cost efficient compared to using a leased line.
