DNS is, beneficial to a network environment because you can operate effectively as you want, and you are provided all the implementation needed to secure you networks DNS, this can also be fun and educational. Also, with DNS you can have the whole organization in your control and with networks this is a very good option to give when working with technology and security implantation. Everyone wants power at their fingertips these days.

DHCP is known as the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. This is used for clients and if the servers, so that IP’s who host with this can automatically be provided an address, or other information and configuration that is needed like the default gateway or subnet mask.

Advantages of DNS.

Can be configured to enhance the security infrastructure for DNS help to allow the dynamic updates.

All the DC’s can replicate and update the entries that are input into the DNS.

Disadvantages of DNS.

The solutions for DNS are UNIX based, so there are limits with using it in a network environment.

You cannot use DNS and an external system, because it cannot be used with a DNA server that answers requests that come from the web.

Advantages of DHCP.

The configuration is done automatically on the machine from your client.

It can decrease the burdens on the administration process.

Disadvantages of DHCP.

The machine name isn’t changed to a different name when the assigned IP address is given.

If the client needs to make a query, it takes up more bandwidth than it normally does. Next, whenever the server is not connectable, the client cannot connect to the network of the enterprise.
